The hard drive in your computer is a storage device. This is what stores all your applications, personal files and the computers operating system. Traditional Hard Drive contain a spinning disk, which is now old technology and can provide a poor user experience with operating systems such as Windows 10/11.
Solid States Drives (SSD) contain no moving parts, and it's flash storage which allows the computer to respond much more faster. It doesn’t take as long for the computer to retrieve information from a spinning disk.
Some computer problems can be tricky to diagnose, this is why we offer free diagnostic to all our computers! Whilst we won’t be able to 100% diagnose your issue over the phone, our fully qualified technicians will be able to diagnose the issue in our workshop, and present you with a cost effective solution.
We always backup our customers data before carrying out any major software changes. Depending on the problem your computer was brought in for, sometimes its not possible for us to retrieve your data such as a Hard Drive failure. Whilst we carry out our best efforts during repair to protect your data, we are not held responsible for any data loss. It's the responsibility of the customer to ensure they have a working backup of their daat If this is something you would like to look into, please speak with us about our backup solutions.
